This website has been designed with accessibility in mind. We have taken steps to make the website easier to use for everyone, regardless of the browser that you are using.
You can use the accessibility options built into popular browsers, or use options that are available across most browsers such as using CTRL +/- on your keyboard to zoom in and out. You can also navigate around using only a keyboard should you have difficulties using a mouse.

Open access dataExpand/collapse this section
If you wish to use the Unistats dataset for your own applications, you can access the data in the following ways:
- Via an Application Programming Interface (API) which allows third party users to embed the data in their own sites or apps in real time.
- As an Extensible Markup Language (XML) download of the full dataset provided by HESA. This will be updated on the same rolling schedule as the main Unistats site.
For the full list of the Unistats data, please see the XML schema provided by HESA as an XML download, and the accompanying guidance notes [PDF 1Mb]. The schema will be updated on the same rolling schedule as the main Unistats site.
These data are made available to third parties through an Open Government Licence. Anyone wishing to use the data for their own purposes must follow the guidelines for appropriate use as explained in the terms of reference below.

Commitment to WelshExpand/collapse this section
Information about Welsh universities and colleges is available on Unistats in both English and Welsh. There may however be a few courses where the Welsh wording is not displayed (for example if the course data has only been provided in English) and we would welcome your feedback about these occasions.
Please note that information about courses at institutions across the rest of the UK, will be shown in English only.
If you search Unistats in Welsh (e.g. by subject or course title), then the hits you initially get returned will only be for Welsh universities and colleges. To see similar courses across the UK, you will need to click on the link on the right hand side of that page called "View similar courses at other universities and colleges"
